In local news, justice reigned over the World Pool Championships 2 days ago when Earl Strickland defeated Steve Davis 11-9. Strickland's concentration was hampered by jeering, noisy crowds. One of the audience even called him a "cheat". According to the last year's champion Strickland, "I am not a cheat. I don't gamble. I don't throw away the book. I'm a great player, and the audience should respect that."

Strickland went on to dispose of Yang the next day.

However, the death of justice happened in Strickland's semifinal match. Hohmann, who also did a great injustice to Bustamante by beating him 11-10, defeated Strickland easily. No one can beat Strickland easily, so there really is injustice. Now, Hohmann is gratified by the system by sending him into the finals against Pagulayan.

In foreign news, Milo defeated Migs once more 5-3 in the world of billiards. This game was played in Celebrity before the game of Strickland vs. Yang. If the rule of coincidences follow, if Milo lost this game, Strickland would've lost to Yang. However, as said earlier, Strickland won against Yang. The gamebreaker was made when Milo made a 2-9 combination after Migs was unable to connect the 2 due to bad positioning. A side note: Milo was having a difficult time with the 5-ball towards the last few racks. Remember Strickland's missed 5-balls in the Davis-Strickland match? Another coincidental justice?

Mediamorphosis, part one of the Inquirer seminar series, also showed flashes of injustice. First, during lunch, Milo seemingly got double servings of daing na bangus while Migs got less than a quarter (or maybe because the producers thought Milo was Earl). Second, a guy got shoved out of the way (A dangerous shove though as he was near the edge of the stage) by a girl just to get a friggin' prize. Third, Milo & Migs were seated in the farthest stage right seats that they felt like they were only hearing the voice of God. Fourth, the continuous rejection of our friend Acid from asking her question in the open forum. Last, the sad anecdotes of Director Joyce Bernal regarding what goes behind her life as a director. No one can't forget about the movies she was given to choose and direct: A Ping Lacson movie ("I might get sued if she did something wrong"), A Serena Dalrymple nude movie ("medyo kadiri yata iyon"), and another Piolo and Juday love story ("nanaman?"). In consolation, the entire event, according to Milo, was enlighteningly fun.

And Milo got a booklet signed by her highness Joyce Bernal herself. JUSTICE!
