A co-worker was watching the supposedly infamous scene of this film. That very same night, I dreamt of the entire scene exactly as it happened, complete with color and sounds.
Ok, that's it. I got to watch it. Jisatsu Sakuru (Suicide Club), here I come.
My strange pleasure of psychological gory films continues, and it started from Battle Royale.
Although Suicide Club has the same theme, the envisioned collapse of Japanese society, this movie is supposedly the "antithesis" of Battle Royale. In Battle Royale, the adults have lost faith in the youth while in Suicide club, the kids feel that the adults have failed them.
Plus, it is supposedly more shocking and gorier than Battle Royale. Hopefully, the power of the message the director and scriptwriter want to put across remains as strong as the one in Battle Royale.
