Rollercoaster

Today's the day (The Event)
We're out to play (With Barbie, Ken & Vanness)
And lost our way (hopefully not)
It's always the same

My feelings are rising and falling like a rollercoaster today. Got to get prepared for later. See you there!

And yes, this is a temporary hosting site. Blasted server problems

Doki-Doki

That's Japanese for heartbeat.

AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! "THE EVENT" is one day away!

And many people feel the same way too. Grabe! You should've seen the crowds in NAIA and the Shangri-la hotel earlier. The crowds for these four Taiwanese stars beat the crowds when Michael Jackson came here in the Philippines. Shows how big the Meteor Garden/F4 fever is in the Philippines.

There are rumors too that the other 2 F4 members, namely Jerry and Vic, will also visit the Philippines sometime this year. If this is true, then the Filipinos would surely be ecstatic once more. However, unless they bring Rainie with them, I won't probably go. (maybe)

I still have a Theo class tomorrow, 1-4 pm. Actually, the class is 1-8 pm. Don't worry, I've already asked permission from my teacher to attend only the first part. However, this will surely make it hard to get a good seat in the elevated bleachers during "The Event". Kainis! I'm packing my helmet (not really) tomorrow just in case a riot ensues. Hopefully, the people there would realize that "Hey, we're in the bleachers. We can't reach the stage from here. We will just fall down!"

Oh yeah, I won another billiards game against Migs yesterday. He got an early lead 2-zip. However, he threw away the next 3 racks. The final score, correct me if I'm wrong, 6-3. Migs got Ralf-ed again.

I really don't like History anymore. I had this long test earlier, and when I finished it, well, let's say that I'm proud of that long test. I can't even find one number that I know I am sure of.

And I won a basketball ticket for the ATENEO-LA SALLE Game tomorrow. However, since I have a class and I'm going to "The Event" tomorrow, I had to sell it. It's a General Admission Ticket anyways. No big loss. At least I made someone else happy.

Just around the river bend

Three days to go!

I don't care if I'm in the bleachers
or not being able to go backstage
as long as I get to see all the features
and everything that goes onstage.

I'm still having server problems. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Ikot, ikot, ikot, ikot... hila, hila

Blurbs are coming out of my ears!
It was fun to do them though. Editing will be great... the application of my skills or lack thereof. It brings back memories in high school when I played Ben Zayb (forgot the spelling) for our El Filibusterismo film production.

I love being the tech guy --- all that gadgets and high tech weaponry :).

I'm so inspired to write nowadays. I don't know why, but I would like to thank to all my detractors for "giving" me new ideas. And you think I'm negatively affected.

September 15 to October 15 - The new shuttle services a.k.a. Ateneo Ikot =) will be available to the Ateneo community. With a fee of 5 pesos to any of the 5 dropzones (South parking [South parking entrance & South parking exit], West Parking exit near Social Science AVR, Xavier Hall Driveway, Bellarmine Waiting Shed, North Parking near waiting shed) within Ateneo, it's not bad considering that the tricycles are charging more. Will this be succesful in decongesting Ateneo? I'm leaning towards no.

Earlier, I reported about the unknown trials after the Cavite mutiny in History class. After weeks of the other groups' reports that left the class yawning, it was nice to hear the class giggle/smile a bit earlier when I did my report. Everyone loves sarcasm. I called Rafael de Izquierdo "The Magician" because he magically does things with the law since he was the governor-general.

Hopefully, my teacher appreciated the creative effort in bringing a boring history lesson to life.

House Warming!

Apparently, my old server that hosted aplomBLUE Network (aplomblue.iscool.net) and Moon Coffee (milo.2ya.com) went screwy again. Therefore, I decided to pack my bags and move to a newer, faster and hopefully better server.

So let's enjoy the new server! (Hopefully, someone really special will join us in our server soon!)

The Aplomblue site is not yet up due to the numerous links it possessed. We need to reconstruct those links. Hopefully, it would be up by the end of this week.

Some things are not meant to happen ---> La Salle vs Adamson... postponed again! First time - Coup attempts, this time - damaged backboard with no replacements.

See you. Report to me any broken links. I need help rearranging my stuff again in my new home.

You can't please everyone...

In Theology, we were given a situation:

A terrorist group holds you and others as hostage. The leader of the terrorists gives you a gun with one bullet in it, and he forces your hand to place the gun on the side of your friend's head. He asks you to pull the trigger because if you don't, he will push the bomb trigger he is holding that will blow up a nearby building with 200 people in it, including your family and your friend's family.

You cannot turn around and shoot the terrorist because there are snipers around with their guns pointed at you. Their laser sights keep sweeping throughout your head. The second that they suspect that you are attempting anything funny, you're dead, and the same goes for the other 200 people in the other building since you didn't do what they asked.

So basically, you only have two options, shoot your friend and save 200 people or do not do anything and risk losing 200 people.

----
What would be your choice?
----

----

----

----

I won't shoot anyone. I won't give them any inkling of an idea that they have the power to force anyone to obey them. I won't give them the idea that they are "God". If they blow up the building and killed the 200 people there, it is the terrorists' fault. I didn't have anything to do with their decision.

My options are suppressed by humans. It is not God who offered me that option.

Impractical? By saving 200 people may be practical for you today, but you might spend the rest of your days paying, in one way or another, for killing your friend ---> making it really impractical.

As a result, I abided by not one, but two of the absolute rules of the Church: Thou shalt not kill an innocent person directly, and Thou shalt not lead anyone to sin.

When Judgment day comes, God won't ask me "Why did you press the bomb trigger?" because I didn't.

There's always risk involved when you choose either side. You may have a whole mob angry at you for not saving their loved ones. It is difficult I know, but did anyone say it wasn't? However, at least by choosing this side, you have some guarantees (like the Judgment in Judgment day) that the other option couldn't give.

Therefore, it is their decision to mock or make fun of me, to blow up the building because I didn't do anything, because I didn't fight back.

As long as I'm not the one leading them to sin.

9 days.

Write me a story

Quite a number of people asked me to tell them a story when they learned that I wrote stories. So let me tell you a simple, fictional one then...

Cloudy-eyed was Em when he trudged his way out of his aphotic classroom. Gazing at the overcast sky, it sprinkled him with a few raindrops that partly lifted the fog out from his eyes.

Just an ordinary day.

His stomach asked for food, so he grabbed a chicken ham sandwich garnished with lettuce, eggs and tomato from a nearby stall. For his beverage, he got a cup of iced tea.

As he headed to the parking lot, he received a text that his ride wasn't there yet. Not knowing where to go since his mind was still hazy from all the philosophical lessons he absorbed that day, he just let his feet take him to where they want to go.

His feet led him inside the cafeteria. They made their way through the shroud of students towards the side stairs and up to the second floor of the cafeteria. His feet didn't stop there though as they just went by the stalls and out the upper cafeteria door.

As he passed through the gloomy corridor, a bright smile greeted him breaking the daze he was in. It was En, his friend. She asked if he could go with her to buy some food to which Em positively responded. They left their bags on a table in the upper cafeteria and headed down to the "usual" stall En buys her food. Em didn't notice what she bought, but he was sure that it had the cup of mint tea she loved so much.

When they returned upstairs, En asked if they could "small talk". Surprised, Em couldn't think of anything to say so En started by asking what high school he came from.

"Ateneo High School," he replied.
"Really? You don't look like someone coming from the Ateneo. What's your section?"
"J"
"Really now? J?"
"Yes, J."
"You're kidding me. J?"
"Yes."
"You don't look some from J."
"I am from J."

This went on around three more times.

"You ever went on a soiree?" En continued.
"Once." Em replied.
"Was that in Maricris' house?"
"Yes."
"Really? Did you know that I was there too?"
"Really?"

Both were in disbelief.

Flashbacks from the soiree and the crazy antics (like throwing people into the pool and the broken vase), their "old" high school selves and social statuses burned brightly in their conversation.

It's a small world after all.

Their conversation drew to a close when Em's ride arrived. They promised each other to continue their tete-a-tete sometime. As they went down the stairs, En insisted that Em should go this Friday to a prayer session. Em said that he'll try to go. Before they went their separate ways, they exchanged cellphone numbers and said their goodbyes.

Both of them left with a beaming smile and at the same time, in disbelief. They still can't imagine the fact that they were in the same soiree at the same place & time together without knowing each other.

And the sun started to peek from behind the clouds.

It's unedited, so I apologize if there are instances of wrong grammar, vague segments or illogical sentences.

In the semi-finals of the World Pool Masters, Earl Strickland lost out to Tony Drago in a close 7-8 match. INJUSTICE! Is the end of my winning streak in billiards looming just around the corner? At least Drago went on to win the cup beating out Hsia.

Biggest shocker of the World Pool Masters: Hsia vs Hohmann, 8-0.

10 DAYS. :)
