I do not personally know this student. However, we are still bound by the same Atenean, student and human bonds one way or another, and probably, have crossed paths somewhere before in school, and may be, sometime in the future.

Sharlene "Sharky" Tan [2 BS-BIO] (1985-2004)

Let us all take a moment to pray for Sharlene May Tan. Known to most as "Sharky", she is an active Celadon officer and a would-be doctor, who was in Phuket when the 10-meter tsunami hit the shores of its beach and claimed her life. Her body was found only just yesterday morning (December 29, 2004) along with his dad and cousins. Only her mother and sisters survived the incident. Grieving for her unexpected and undeserved loss...

Celadon together with various units of the LS community will be holding a mass for Sharky:

This tragedy makes you think that all unhappy moments that happen to you in your lifetime seem petty.
